The Pexioto Family are some of the only Afro-Brazilian farmers in the state of Minas Gerais. When we visited the great Neide Peixoto on her farm, we tried more than thirty coffees from their harvest. This Mundo Novo varietal, grown and processed naturally by Neide Peixoto, her daughter Lauriel and her brother brother-in-law Joaquim, hits us with sweet, sweet overtones and a hint of orange.
To bring out body and sweetness, we recommend brewing it on French Press and Aeropress. It also works terrifically as an iced coffee or single-origin espresso!
Look for notes of Tootsie Roll, Cinnamon/Cardamom, Yellow Raisin and a Pecan-Pie sweetness.
